LEGO PROJECTS

Below are various Lego projects I have created using a mixture of physical builds with photographs,
and digital builds rendered out. For the Thunderbirds projects I used my own high poly subdivided
elements / parts modelled in 3ds Max.

LEGO Transformer: Soundwave and Laserbeak

Based on the Transformer toys, these two models use around 3000 parts in total.
Built in LDD,
(Lego Digital Designer) and rendered in 3ds Max

LEGO Warhammer Ultramarine

Based on the Warhammer 40,000 Ultramarine miniature. This model
uses around 300 parts. It is a digital build and render with Photoshop
for subtle glows and graphics such as the banner.

LEGO 1950's Vintage car

The cars of this era had very distinctive flashy styling such as large tailfins, lots of
chrome, and a
flowing design that emulated the look of rockets. Inspiration for the
model started with the long
sword part. Its design was ideal to represent the tailfin.

LEGO Mountain bike / e-bike

For this project I combined several of my hobbies, Lego, Mountain biking,
photography, and presenting the visuals/images on the
Lego Ideas website.

LEGO Emperor Dalek

This model is based on the Emperor Dalek from Doctor Who, a British science
fiction series. It's a digital build and render, with mock-up box art.

LEGO Civilization: Beyond Earth Worker Mech

This Lego model is based on the worker mech from Sid Meier's Civilization:
Beyond Earth Worker Mech. It was created as a gift for every Firaxis employee.

LEGO Ideas Logo contest

This model was created as my own design for a logo for the Lego Ideas website.
Lego Ideas is where you can submit Lego designs that have a chance at becoming
official Lego sets. I have two that made it, Doctor Who, and The Flintstones.

High poly subdivided digital Lego elements

For my previous Lego renders I used lower detail meshes, but those looked low detail
in places and had artifacts. So I created my own library of high poly subdivided Lego
elements/ parts. The ones above are only a few of the several hundred ones I created.

LEGO Thunderbirds: TB1, and FAB 1

This model is based on Thunderbird 1, and FAB 1 from Thunderbirds, a British
science fiction series. This project became a Lego Ideas set proposal.

LEGO Thunderbirds: Classic Thunderbirds

This model is based on Thunderbird 2 and its smaller vehicles from Thunderbirds,
a British science fiction series. This project became a Lego Ideas set proposal.

LEGO Thunderbirds: Micro Rescue

These models are based on Thunderbird vehicles, in micro form, from Thunderbirds,
a British science fiction series. This project became a Lego Ideas set proposal.
